The Skegness WebCam picture below is brought to you by Skegness RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) and BBC.co.uk.
The camera is set on top of the Skegness Royal National Lifeboat Institution tower looking across the Skegness beach.
The Skegness WebCam updates every 10 minutes (when it’s running).
The Skegness WebCam pans across the beach and sometimes points towards Bottons Pleasure Beach, sometimes you’ll see their big wheel.

When I was around 12 years old I was on holiday in Skegness, Ingoldmells (caravanning on the Eastgate caravan site) and I went out from Ingoldmells beach in a two man dingy and the current caught me! From the beach I could be seen on the horizon and the Skegness life boat had to be called out to get me, apparently a life boat had broken down so it took some time to pick me up.
So thank you very much Skegness Lifeboat team for saving me when I was about 12 years old (27 years ago). Feel free to make a donation at RNLI Donations Page, as a charity with no money from the UK government they need every penny they can get for saving idjiots like me who manage to get washed out to sea on a sunny day :) Imagine what might have happened had they not had a backup boat (or whatever they used that day), you’d not have this awesome Skegness Attractions website to peruse!
Skegness Pictures
Just as soon as the wife sorts some good Skegness images, we have hundreds :)
Hi there, i was just wondering how i could get the live image web cam on my website. I think i need the HTML but i cant get it from anywere..?
Hi Sarah,
It’s the HTML code you are after, I used:
<img src="http://www.bbc.co.uk/england/webcams/live/lincskeg.jpg" height="288" width="352" />
That’s the basic HTML code
David
Hi many thanx it up & running now.
No problem Sarah, glad I could help.
David
Hi just wanted to know if Skegness Webcam is good for Macbook Pro. Icould not get it to work. Thanks Nicky
this is a brilliant site and we booked because of it. well done.
The Skegness Webcam use to update every 10/15 minutes, now it just seems to update once a day and to have that same picture all day, Any reason why? It was much better before. Still like looking but it was more informative you could get a better idea of the weather and how busy it was.
On the BBC Skegness webcam page it still says updated every 10 mins, but it’s gone 11pm and we just got back from a walk and went that route and it’s definitely not that bright :-)

Hi David Yes it still says every 10 mins, But i’ve just looked and it’s still the same picture as yesterday, I don’t live in Skegness but have gone there all my holidays as a child and now have a caravan there, The Webcam was realy good for seeing what the weather was like before we came for a few days.

The webcam is a letdown i used to tell my friends and relations to have a look but they are all disgusted as there seems to be pics left there for days at a time,This cant be goodfor tourist industry.Mablethorpe seems to have got there act together as theres is working all the time
please either take this site down or please please sort the webcams out!!!!
that picture has been on for weeks now and the donna nook one is well out of date.like the previous comment i used!!! to use the webcams to check the weather before heading off to our caravan.
what could be a very good site let down by either poor maintenace or like most things money troubles / cutbacks
come on sort it out!!!!!!!
The Skegness WebCam doesn’t run all year round, no idea which dates it runs from/to, but since it’s winter I assume they turn it off since it’s a seaside resort.
The Donna Nook WebCam is no longer available, left on this page as an archive or if they start using it again.
The site is maintained on a regular basis, but the WebCams are not under our control, they are run by BBC.co.uk and we have no control or information about when and if they will run.
Basically it’s a case of checking if they work or not, if they don’t have a look for a replacement. Since there aren’t hundreds of WebCams in Lincolnshire the ones above are as up to date as you can get on one page.
